Hi, I'm Amanda Hope, furniture painter / upcycler.
I love creating beautiful and unique pieces of furniture that will be something special in your home, and bring joy for many years to come.

I’ve always loved seeing others transform furniture and now I get so much enjoyment from seeing my own makeovers come to life. I take classic and vintage furniture – most of which is so well made, generally solid wood, and has much more character and charm than modern flat pack items – and revive and refinish it.

You will see that I mostly use a mix of paint with decoupage to create my unique pieces of furniture. I also specialise in refinishing solid wood (mostly oak) traditional sideboards.
I seek out items of furniture, mainly vintage traditional sideboards, that are well made and designed with lovely original details. I feel that they deserve to be updated so they can fit into today’s homes.
As all my items of furniture have had a past life they may have minor signs of use such as small nicks and dings, which is part of their history and character. Many of these disappear as the item is sanded as part of the preparation process. Anything more major is repaired or replaced. My aim is always to create high quality items that you would really want to have in your home.
You can find out more about the processes and products I use in my Customer Information.
